Life today vs the colonies

Hi so in class, we are learning about life in the colonies. Today we have to compare our life to life in the colonies. Starting with Education most kids didn't have a lot of formal education which is very different from me since I have been getting a formal education for a while 13 years to be exact. The next thing is religion, religion is a very important part of the colonial life kids grew up reading the bible. The difference with me is that I don't have a religion I wasn't forced to grow up reading the bible and believing in god. The last thing I'm going to compare is families in the colonies families were big but today's families aren't they are mostly 1-3 kids.
