Journey to Mars


I lived in New York City and went to a small school. My mom was born in New Jersey and my dad Italy. From 1st grade to 5th grade I wanted to be an Astronaut. There was a little voice in my head telling me that It was too dangerous only the smartest people get to go up to space so my dream faded to background noise and I forgot about it. Not long ago we were listening to Scott Kelly and that faded dream became more vivid. I've known for awhile that people were going to go to Mars one day, so I would like to be one of those people. That mean little voice wasn't there anymore; it was different now it was telling me that I can go I can do whatever I want.

The reason I think that we should go to Mars is because we have poisoned the planet to the point where we may not be able to live here much longer. who knows how long we have until you can't breathe on our planet. We need to have as many people go and start a new life on the red planet. There are many challenges we would need to face before we can get there. We don't know all the heath risks of such a long trip could cause. That is a chance we need to take to start a new life.
