The Bill of Rights on Mars

Living on Mars is definitely in our future, maybe it's in 10 years maybe 50 but it's definitely there. Like any colony, there will be laws and rules of their society. Although they may not have exactly 10 amendments they will most likely have a few. I personally think they will keep some of ours and have a few different ones it is Mars after all.


1. Freedom of speech I think this one would stick because it's a basic human right


2. The right to leave Mars and go back to Earth if needed
The only reason I say if needed is because by the time they have a bill of rights Mars will be its own place it will probably won't be connected to Earth.


3. The right to a speedy trial and no exaggerated bail
These two would probably be combined they fit together and again it's basic human rights.


4. The right to have the resources needed to survive it's not like Earth resources will most likely be scarce at times, but everyone should have things like oxygen.


5. The right to communicate with the Earth
Everyone should have to right to talk to people on the Earth not only people on Mars.


6. When electing people in the government whoever wins the popular vote win be elected
People will be far away from their home planet they need to know that the person that has more votes will win.


7. The right to your land if you own the land, it belongs to you, simple.

8. The right to worship freely when going to Mars a whole bunch of people will be going religious freedom is needed.


9. The right to water
You need water to live not much to say there.

10. If want your trail can happen on Earth it will.
It's your home planet if you want the trail there you should be able to.
